There’s been a lot of chatter out there about what 1Night on March 20th is all about so I figured I would put your mind at ease and let you know exactly what’s going on.
For those of you who have no clue what War Cry is, it’s a rockin’ 5-day summer student conference/camp for the youth of GCI’s churches. So what’s War Cry 1Night? It’s exactly what it sounds like…1Night of War Cry. There’s no way we can bundle a week’s worth of awesomeness into 1Night, so we’re just going to do 1Night of awesomeness. Why? A bunch of the other GCI youth pastors and I got together months back and decided we didn’t want to only come together once a year to connect and worship God, so why not do something throughout the year to keep the vision and excitement fresh? That’s where 1Night was birthed and that’s what it’s all about.
The first one is March 20th at Grace Church in Southern Pines and we can’t wait to see what God is going to do. Our hope is that in the future 1Night events will be held in multiple regions and include more than only GCI churches. The vision is simple: let’s change our cities and region with the power of God! By coming together to worship and hear from God more consistently, we believe the unity and relationships will go a long way in making us all more effective where we’re at. Chris Fletcher has once again put together an awesome team and will be leading worship and our very own Michael Cotten, leader of the GCI Apostolic Team, will be delivering a powerful word. Throw in a powerful dance/dramatic performance and some pizza and fun and we’ve got ourselves a night! If you are interested, I hope to see you there. The event is FREE (but pizza is $1) and open to the public. Doors open at 4pm, event goes from 5-7pm. March 20, 2010: “WarCry: 1Night”
WarCry:1Night takes the powerful sessions that have been experienced at WarCry and packs it into one night! There will be moving worship, an impacting message, and tons of fun and games! Join with hundreds of students from all over the region at Grace Church in Southern Pines for a powerful encounter with the Living God. Doors open at 4pm for fun and games, event kicks off at 5pm, don’t miss out!

There is no cost to ride the shuttle. You MUST bring a signed permission form from your legal guardian to ride with us! (You can also pick up the permission form at the table this Sunday.)
